Kershaw County manufacturer (near Northeast Columbia) is seeking an experienced accountant to be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate standard costs, performing financial analysis, monitoring inventory valuations, maintaining build-out inventories and disposing of obsolete inventory, maintaining fixed asset system and recording depreciation, preparing journal entries and adhering to monthly close schedule, completing property and sales/use tax returns, and participating in budget process and annual audit.
Requirements include a Bachelors degree in Accounting and 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience should include cost accounting, inventory valuations, and general ledger function. Must have strong proficiency in Excel, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, accuracy, and willingness to work as a team member. Understanding of OSHA and ISO 14001 regulations preferred.
