Senior Accountant

Healthcare provider in downtown Columbia has an excellent opportunity for a four-year degreed accountant with 5+ years of accounting experience.  CPA or CPA candidate preferred.

This position will provide professional accounting support to senior management in a variety of areas, including monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts; preparation of month-end journal entries; completion of property tax, sales and use tax, and annual 1099 filings; maintenance of fixed assets; compliance with cash management procedures and internal controls; performing research related to accounting guidance; identifying cost saving opportunities when appropriate; assisting management with financial information requests, annual forecasts, and financial audits; and so on.

Qualifications include ability to work with minimal supervision, strong analytical and communication skills, attention to detail, knowledge of accounting systems, and skills with Microsoft Office applications (including a strong focus on Excel).

Salary of $80-90K.
